PROBABLY JUST A DESCRIPT because sob sob finishing essays.

Also haha like Lloyd's and mine before it, your heart game informed this heart room.

Before you, there is a black iron gate that seems to lead into a park. All of the grass you can see, all of the trees, everything in the park is made of metal. Beautifully made, but artificial. It is quietly cold, and overcast. The gate is surrounded in long grass and flowers that are real -- they are real in a wide circle around a woman who is Knife, but with brown hair and blue eyes. She is kneeling with her head bowed and eyes closed, a patient look on her face. The key she is wearing around her neck is made of black iron.

It wasn't always like this here, she'll tell you. She's lost something here.

> Examine gate

The gate is locked with a strong padlock. You have to get the key from True Heart to open it, and she's picky, but she'll probably take requests if she likes you enough.

> Enter park

There's one winding path through the park. It leads past the trees, which have squirrels in them, and the park is in general rustling with animal life. The trees are dead, but the animals are alive. They seem pretty cold and hungry, which is kind of sad. The flowers are made of metal, but if happened to break one off, you'll find the heart of the stem is a real flower. Same with the trees, and the grass. The outside is metal, but the heart is real.

The path winds around a pool at the heart of the park. It has iced over. There are ducks and other cute animals and stuff gathered around the pool, they clearly live there, but they don't have their water and they're cold and hungry too :(a

There are two trees on either side of the pool. They are set far apart, but they are so tall and strong that their branches intermingle. One of them has leaves made of purple light. The other is a true tree, real wood, and if you were to lean against the trunk and listen, a heartbeat thumping, deep within the wood. Where the two trees' leaves land on the ice, it has melted a little.

> break the ice

It shatters with one attempt, and seems to melt. There is a strange sigh, and the wind blows, scattering leaves from both trees. The ducks take to the water. In the ripples they leave, you see dapples of gold. Deep in the water, you can see a wooden box.

> retrieve box

The outside of the box is plain wood, but the inside is made of crystal. Inside it there is a beautiful key of Sterling silver, with a single emerald embedded at the head. When you close the box, a clock with no hands is engraved on the wood.

> return box to True Heart

She takes the key from the box, and places it in the gate, turning it. Even from here, you can see everything in the park become real and organic. True Heart smiles back at you, and walks past you to wander in the park, fading from view.

It's warmer now.

how long after you get back from camping will it be before I'm sat on.

The camping will probably mean they are missing for an IC day and then you have maybe another two days max before he hunts you down. Possibly less; once he finds out KK was actually in there and now she's avoiding him it is pretty easy to...draw conclusions...

How is the White Queen doing?

She won't be actively physically avoiding . . . just deploying conversation techniques . . .

She is struggling with the sunflowers |( she feels like they're looking at her all the time and it is making her jumpy.

How's Firebird.

Oh no conversation techniques.

Firebird is pretty okay; the exploration game temporarily eased the wrong thing in her so she could cope with plot and getting attacked twice by the darkness. People are being cute at her and running a decent amount of her quests, the freeing of Beauty's region probably gave her a power shot, and her contract with Elliot will be up in three days which will give her another power shot. She does miss the fruit tree.

Eventually things will go sour again because a) wrong thing is not gone and b) she won't let herself be bound by her derpy cute helpful personality much longer. But for now! All is well.

If you ever had to tempdrop KK would you book her, have her Personanapped, or statue her?

Aaat this point if I had to tempdrop it would only be for time reasons. So since I have more than the required amount of memories instead of tempdropping I would good end her and select option GO FIGHT THE DARKNESS ELSEWHERE IN AATHER. Because that is the option she would ICly take. Then I could bring her back on the certain events and be like |DDDD! HELLO FRED!

How would Mithos cope if Lloyd got booked.

He would grieve a while, be generally sadder on an everyday basis, and work that much harder to wrangle the Personae into teamwork so the darkness would go away sooner, but he wouldn't break over it. In early Aather it would sure have snapped him in half like a brittle straw though. It's still pretty depressing to play and our plan is pretty much to keep the both of them until the end of Aather anyway, but if one of us ever had to tempdrop I think both of them would wind up getting booked -- or more likely Personanapped 'cos can you really see Lloyd and Mithos sitting quietly in the book.

How would KK cope if...both of them got booked...oh no oh no...

I think she would try to cope for a while but inevitably she'd leave. :') Probably get her skills back then debody and GO DO THE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF KICKING THE DARKNESS'S FACE IN ELSEWHERE IN AATHER. Get them back out of the book. Etc. There are a lot of people she loves that she would carry on doing her best as normal after they got booked. Lloyd and Mithos ... are not ... those people ... you know even now when she's debating as to whether they are going to hate her for damaging Mithos '-' ...

What's a memory you could have started KK off with that you think would have influenced her development in Aather very differently?

The Crash! Remembering it straight off would have led to none of that very human sort of development she got at the beginning and she would have just become her canon self with a hint more misery. \:D/

oh god there were so many options

- starting him off with a YEAH I WAS HERO memory would have made him incredibly bitter and divided the second he got back memories that were all, gosh bro, you sure ruined all of that, and eventually he would hate himself.

- starting him off with a CRAZY VILLAIN memory of any sort would also have caused him to be confused and conflicted and bitter, especially where Lloyd was concerned, and eventually he would hate himself.

- starting him off with a RACISM HUMANS HATE HALF-ELVES!!1 memory would have made him start out nice enough but cautious and withdrawn, eventually spiraling into full-scale depression because he wouldn't let himself trust anyone completely. He would hate himself and try to be pretty isolated and this is the scenario where he is most likely to off himself out of misery.

- starting him off with the I WAS SANE FOR THIRTY SECONDS AND THEN LLOYD KILLED ME would have . . . been hilarious and awful . . . and they definitely would not have become bffl.

- skills had some weight in this too since if, say, his first couple were offensive rather than BE THE DOCTOR and then BE THE DOCTOR WHO CAN SENSE PEOPLE LIVE AND DIE AND HOW UNIQUE EVERYONE IS then...yes...

Funnily enough these scenarios all had a chance of happening in Aather anyway if he'd gotten the above early, since I started him off with a perfectly neutral uninformative memory and didn't prioritize anything until like memory 7. He just somehow managed the perfect order of beginning memories and events and supportive CR to come out at optimum functionality and rainbows.

What did KK think of Mithos's heart overall...I mean besides the...cluster of disasters that happened there...
