I think there is a winning combination of telepathy and empathy going on. Because Aeris is naturally private but being private is difficult around a telepath, and because KK talks about everything openly except FEELINGS!!1, they sort of cancel out their individual issues and manage to communicate really well. And then it turns out they have a kind of parallel to them!

So yes. Very positive impression. Aeris has managed to break past KK's usual not deliberate but nonetheless studied personal ambivalence on people she doesn't know too well. So they have clicked! KK will always go with it when she clicks with people, because she likes it (as many do) when she doesn't have to work to be understood. But KK doesn't get that often! Cause she is complex. So to have that with somebody is nice. Also more friends that are female is nice because KK's social circle mostly consists of booooyyyyyssss.

KK's PERSONAL thoughts on Citrine are marred by her thoughts on Muraki. Buuuut she likes the rest of Citrine that she's met a lot. She enjoys that Citrine came to the exact conclusion as Emerald for what appear to be entirely different reasons. In general if self-shanking gets banned Emerald would probably target Citrine assuming that Citrine would target them. BECAUSE IT MAKES SENSE. SHANKING CIRCLE . . .

Aaaaand relationship. WELL. TRIVIA! KK is close to Mithos and Lloyd in entirely different ways and for different reasons, but she distinctly believes in their spiritual marriage as a good thing. She thought that way as soon as Mithos told her he loved Lloyd. It was just like. Gosh. The idea of them hating each other is a bizarre anathema! That was one of her main thoughts on when he told her about what he'd learned from his memories. And it reminded her of how much people could change in Aather, for better or worse. She found finding out about Mithos' past crazy pretty upsetting, though she wouldn't say so, because Faith had always been up to that point so thoroughly grounded. But she adjusted to the concept pretty fast and started looking at the practicalities.

I MENTION THIS because post our post-psychic thread she is ... somewhat concerned. Once she is properly back to herself, she will actually notice that she is too. From the glimpses she's had into his mind, the stuff about the exspheres, the brief bits he recalled from his memories, etc, while she thinks he's coping well, she is definitely worried about what might happen there. She's going to be watching him pretty carefully henceforth, not in a "might be dangerous" way but in a "that's my friend and he could be in trouble" way. She has a lot of faith in Mithos to sort his shit out. She would never be overbearing about it, or mention something she sees in his head which is obviously so intensely private. She is just ... watching.

He told her he trusted her to be in his head, the feeling's mutual, she trusts Mithos to take care of himself and inevitably cope. Generally her feelings on him are unchanged! They are - as they have ever been - endless hearts doodled on a postcard. He's definitely one of her closest friends when it comes down to it. She would shank kittens for him. Etc. But she is just keeping an eye out!

Citrine DOESN'T ACTUALLY THINK ABOUT DEATH GAMES A LOT when they're not playing one! They're not very much for plans and deliberation as a group; they just usually have a good enough sense of each other to come to decisions really, really fast on the spot. They don't like paindeath but they've mostly gotten very whateverrrrr about it except possibly if Cubia plays. Mint's personal reaction in the last Three game was just amusement, a bit of relief, and then an actual minor competitive burn--MAN next game we'd better get more hits than Emerald, second place sucks! She has a pretty positive opinion of most of Emerald but yes, would cheerfully circleshank if Citrine couldn't self-sacrifice like usual.

I will finish the second one in a bit sob multitasking forever sob.

First impressions/relationship for Itachi?

Gosh KK likes Itachi a lot. He pretty much had to walk into a madhouse and accept everything that was going on, all at once, and while they sort of tried to make him comfortable with everything it probably wasn't that successful? But he's knuckled down and gotten involved in the team despite the general lunacy going on, which KK deeply appreciates. She has an impression of him as someone she's going to be able to rely on, and that'd stay the same even after he realises he's supposed to be a meanieface or whatever. KK's impressions of people rarely shift around after she's had them, even more so now she's got being a psychic back.

Yes! First impression is of liking and trust and general enjoyment that he's in the team. Very positive \o/ being Emerald means you get to skip her ambivalence on new people by default.

KK is kind of Itachi's favorite so far (besides Sasuke who is kind of special, obvs :T ). But she was the one who made him feel the most welcome at first, and she did it in a way that also gave him space to figure things out for himself. He tends to be kind of independent, as well as introverted, so if the team had been TOO attentive it might have made him more uncomfortable. He tends to find her very easy to relate to somehow, and generally easy to be around. Though he thinks she seems to take a lot on herself, which he respects but also thinks it's something that could be shared, since that's what teams are for, right (although he'll be inclined to do the same kind of thing sooner or later, so). But like he said...or, thought, I guess...in their thread today he trusts her the most at this point. In part because he's talked with her the most, but also because she seems smart, honest and dependable, all of which he appreciates.

Also, she gave him the idea for his name :'D

OKAY. So - like everyone she has spoken to since she became psychic - KK feels immediately closer to Ginshu than she did previously. Seeing what's going on behind Ginshu's general personality was something she wasn't going to go into with her for a while! Because she wasn't sure how comfortable Ginshu would be. But then her thoughts were properly strange, and so that conversation happened.

So KK isn't good at comforting people when they cry! That is the first thing. It makes her feel all faily and strange. So she often ends up blurting out something personal in hopes it'll help and not be inappropriate. Honestly the conversation that ensued led her to understanding Rabbit a lot better, and inevitably she is pleased about that.

The tiredness, being sick of living, she can understand that, because KK's mental state is currently the lowest it's ever been. Lower than when she found out about the apocalypse. She was given a month of normal life, living like a normal human being, making relationships like one, being part of the fold. And taking her skills became an inevitability because of general team feelings re: Emeraldsplosion (TIES IN, SEE) and also because of Tsuzuki and Mitchell and shanking Three someday. So becoming a FreakAngel again, unlocking the package, that was a complete inevitability. But in one stroke it's robbed her of being a normal human being and placed her in the outsider position again. And that leads her to similar feelings! Not the same. But enough to respect and understand Ginshu's wishes. Honestly, if they were leaving Aather and Ginshu came to KK and said she wanted to die and this was her only chance, KK would help her if she could. But yeah. :( I THINK THAT'S IT GENERALLY.

Ginshu is honestly still amazed that KK is willing to talk to her sometimes :'D UH. On the telepathy! Ginshu is this mess of contradictions where she just does not talk about these things, or so you think but then it turns out she's been telling you the entire time just not in so many words! And then she'll share her memories with someone she's known for all of an afternoon! …In canon, I'm not even talking Aather here. So she is actually really okay with her thoughts being read aside from the whole… "I am adding to KK's burden here, nobody wants my thoughts because they are horrible and depressing!" sort of thing. …Because they are. Her reasons for not talking aren't that she's inherently private or anything.

On leading up to telepathy! Ginshu was honestly confused by KK's reaction re: the Viridian thing. At that point they'd already talked it out, and she didn't know he'd told other people-- and as soon as she realized that, she was absolutely prepared for KK to hate her, and was totally okay with that because it means Viridian has an awesome friend and teammate. HE NEEDS THOSE. Those are good. And it will make things easier when she inevitably dies or breaks up with him for good! (…this probably will not happen, I should note.) But then KK expressed concern for her, and that was honestly really baffling for Ginshu. All of her memories are of this place where people have to choose sides. KK doesn't. How does that work?

Which ties into their conversation! Obviously, you are aware of what she was feeling, but KK pretty much got across the first right thing anyone's managed to Ginshu about suicide: it's okay that you feel this way, it's understandable, I know how it feels. Nobody has ever told her this before, and it makes her feel so much better about accidentally sharing it and about feeling that way in general. Granted, so much better is kind of relative, at this point, and she's probably going to stay at this point or meander downwards a bit as she gets more memories/her dying skill, but KK pretty much cemented herself as Someone Important.

Which is pretty impressive, because KK has always been pretty important to Ginshu; it's just that she's been seeing KK primarily as Emerald's Leader and filtering her through that lens. I think she's cleanly broken through that and become important to Ginshu as herself without Ginshu thinking about the connection to Asuka or Bonten, which basically just means Ginshu is going to worry more over her and try to give her space as necessary and offer to make meals as often as they are accepted and maybe try to sneak into the cabin to sew up jackets if Asuka doesn't like sewing. :Db

…And despite her immediate thought-- which really was just the kind of idle thought that she would never actually act on-- she would never, ever ask KK to do that. She never puts the burden of her suicides on anyone else, and, especially after their conversation, KK has to deal with way too much already.

(Also a sidenote, KK is the only woman Ginshu's flirted with-- not in a serious way, because Ginshu is never really serious, and I am fairly sure it didn't come across, but it is something to note because that comfort and admiration is something she's carried since then.)

UHHHH okay so our relationship is constantly and astonishingly functional so I don't need to do THIS IS HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT LLOYD IRVING AGAIN (answer: yes, still Lloyd Irving's exasperatedly affectionate girlfriendthing) so instead have some OUR RELATIONSHIP related recent trivia:

So when KK became psychic she was going to break up with Lloyd and just become his friend again. It was just a thing she felt she had to do! Because she really enjoys dating Lloyd, he is one of the best things to ever happen to her, but there is a sense of "other" that she associates with her FreakAngel abilities that she thought would disturb their relationship enough to ruin it. And like, while she could do without dating him she wouldn't do without being friends with him at this point. He is pretty much her rock. She is a lot of people's rock, but Lloyd is her rock. He has been so all the way through the Emeraldsplosion. So when she saw him after she got her shoulder fixed, it was a "... right. So I should just get that done." sort of feeling.

But then halfway through their conversation she decided to fuck that, because he is her dumb thing and he will stay her dumb thing for as long as he wants to be. So pretty much decided to not try to do that. Because she has faith in him to tell her if something is wrong, if it's changed, if he's uncomfortable! Because he is Lloyd. She isn't naive enough to think that some things about the way they interact won't change, but on the other hand, she knows for a fact that if she starts breaking off her relationships, inevitably she will become the outsider again as a matter of course. And he is too important for that! And she respects him too much for that. And that is a thing, because there aren't many people she respects that much.

Their relationship is good! It's going well, it's been a good like ... three weeks to almost a month or however long. It's very relaxed. She likes that, because she couldn't handle being the MOST IMPORTANT THING!!!!! to someone she's in a relationship with, because that stops being a fun relationship and becomes a responsibility. The responsibilities they share to each other are usually mutual. So she is comfortable enough to fight her own flight instincts. IT'S VERY HEALTHY, REALLY, WHICH ISN'T USUALLY A WORD I ASSOCIATE WITH HER. Despite the fact she's in a terrible, terrible emotional place rn! Clearly that is . . . the magic of Lloyd . . .

Yeah no Lloyd still loves KK and he'll continue loving KK and that's that. HER TELEPATHY WILL PROBABLY NOT BE MUCH OF A THING FOR HIM; it's weird but he knows her insecurities about it so :T whatever. Also, you can explode hippos with your mind, that is cool. He is not a private person about most stuff! He has no problem with sharing memories or his thoughts. His biggest "I will keep this secret :\" things are all for the sake of other people, and the bulk of that is stuff about home; as long as Mithos is cool with sharing things with KK it won't make him uncomfortable. He probably will not be one of the people who is able to try and shift his thought patterns and stuff for the sake of her comfort, though, and the way he deals with things is sometimes weird and unsettling from an outside perspective. He is Lloyd and he lloyds! IT IS THE ONLY WAY HE KNOWS HOW TO PROCESS THINGS.

HIS THOUGHTS ON EMERALDSPLOSION ARE BASICALLY... SIGH. Why are all these things happening to the most sensible team full of people I like and trust to be sensible! :\ No blame attached; he thinks Emerald is handling it better than almost any other team could hope to. JUST SIGH. He will support them if he can!

What does KK want to do for a vacation from her life?

Positive ambivalent! He falls into the ambivalent trap because that is pretty much everyone first impressionwise unless they are a) Emerald, b) Lloyd Irving, or c) Aeris Gainsborough. KK tends to work like: pos or neg ambivalent -> make a full impression -> pos or neg. She is pretty much done working out Allen! And she feels very positively about him in general. She enjoyed hearing about Lloyd's pancake antics, and in general is impressed and pleased that he's trying to do so much for the team. He scores extra points for trying to make it work with Cash, because Cash is an incredibly difficult sort of person sometimes despite how much KK likes her. She would help him out if she could! Whether it's listening to him or offering practical solutions or whatever. He is also a bit fun to tease, he makes good faces.

FAVOURITE TEAMMATE! KK likes all of Emerald a lot but she is by far closest to Bonten and Hisoka, and Hisoka probably edges Bonten for being her favourite of the two of them. They have a very comfortable, supportive rapport these days which leads to mostly the sarcastic but affectionate interactions of two well-put-together people and occasionally one having to support the other which is also okay. KK has a lot of trust for Hisoka, which is a big thing for her -- it's not that she doesn't trust people at all so much as that she doesn't trust easily, she has become a touch control freakish, but once he brought it up she has pretty much kicked it to the curb because she thought it was unfair and didn't really make sense, because she does trust him, and furthermore about at least half of Emerald to do the right thing when needed.

She has a brand new appreciation for him too because now she is psychic, and it's something that could be reacted to so negatively, and he has just completely accepted her for what she is. Because he's got the highest understanding of how it feels, he's been supportive in an honest way, and she appreciates that immensely. She would do a lot for him. That includes everything from teasing him relentlessly to making sure his boyfriend's mind doesn't splinter horribly. SO YES. This is a mindbogglingly positive relationship ide.

Hisoka freaking loves KK! It's about the same - he loves all of Emerald and views them as family, but just because of his personality he's probably closest to Bonten and KK, and closer to KK out of the two of them! He just. He trusts KK 100%. This doesn't mean that he doesn't think she'll sometimes do stupid things. He is pretty sure she will do stupid or aggressive things etc etc, but he trusts KK to be the person he knows as KK and will expect nothing less. Which is to say he has a lot of faith in her to aim for the right thing, and to care, and also to be blunt and in your face, etc etc.

He is just completely comfortable around KK. His first response to both positive and negative things is to want to bring them to her for her opinion, because he really genuinely trusts it. He may or may not take whatever advice she gives, or otherwise follow whatever her opinion is, but he wants to hear it and take it under consideration. There is a lot of give and take and it feels really in balance to him! It was getting so comfortable with her that made him bring up his previous crush because he just trusted her to take it as what it was.

On top of this, there is an element of ...relieved familiarity? Hisoka is the only psychic in his canon. It's pretty clear that he has not met any others. Obviously psychic powers are known/mythic the way they are in real life, but as for people who have them, it's basically just Hisoka. As sympathetic and caring as his coworkers and friends are, they don't 'know' that experience. That's pretty clear in his memories as well -- he remembers explaining to them and his thoughts/feelings at the time, etc etc. So on top of just plain getting along with her/loving her/trusting her/bff etc, she's the only person he's met both here and in his memories who can really more or less understand that feeling.
